Does Online Tutoring Work?
Online tutoring is individualized, unlike online teaching in a classrrom setting, which makes the sessions more efficient and engaging.
There are several online classrooms, such as Orton Gillingham and Koala, that have all the components of an actual classroom.
Every tool is a click away to keep them engaged and the online education world has a plethora of resources that are fun and engaging.
Since the pandemic, students have adapted to online tutoring, and are more attentive and at ease than parents realize.
I incorporate physical activites in my session which keeps my students on their toes...literally.
There are several online tutoring platforms I use-Zoom, google meets, Skype.

Why Does My Child Hate Reading?
Most children do not hate reading. That is a code phrase for either it is too hard or they find the material they are given boring.
Once their weaknesses are addressed or they are exposed to matierial they can relate to or have interest in- you will see a difference.

Do you offer in person tutoring also?
Yes, for those who live in the NorthEast section of the Bronx or in surrounding areas.
I have a spacious room reserved in a family friendly community center.

What are your rates?
Online Session Rates
45 minute sessions - $60
1hr a week- $70
2hrs weekly -$65/hr , $130 weekly
10% discount if paid a month in advance and taking, at minimum , 1hr weekly sessions.
In Person Session Rates
- $80. Only 1hr sessions are availlable.

What Educational Platforms or Resources do you use?
I use a range of effective online resources that cater to a variety of educational needs.
1. Orton Gillingham Virtual Classroom-This resource is equipped with all the components of an in person classroom- a blending board to practice sounding out words, writing utensils,, phonics cards, syllable division activities, virtual sand tray for kinesthic activites, and many more.
2. Raz-Kids. is an interactive online reading platform that accelerates a child's literacy skills through a massive library of leveled eBooks, automated listening tracking, and comprehension strategies.
3. Kahoots-is a game-based learning platform that turns tutoring review sessions into interactive, timed quizzes to boost engagement, recall, and focus. Introducing this tool helps parents see that online learning can be energetic, highly interactive, and scientifically effective.
4. CommonLit-is a fantastic digital tool that gives us access to thousands of high-quality reading passages, poems, and articles, complete with built-in tools to help your child master reading comprehension. It provides features like a digital read-aloud tool, a built-in dictionary, and instant text translation help readers feel confident.
